United States Citizens don't need to obtain a visa, but you will need a Tourist Card that will be provided by your airline. You need to present just one of the following documents at the port of entry; a valid United States passport; original birth certificate, certified copy or certificate of naturalization with photo official identification (i.e. drivers license); voters registration card with photo official identification; Notarized affidavit or birth facts with photo identification. Remember to hold on to the copy of the Tourist Card that is returned to you, you’ll need it upon leaving Mexico. Minors under the age of 18 and traveling alone or with only one parent or with someone other than their parents must have a notarized letter of permission signed by the parent/parents not traveling. In case of divorce, the parent’s custody document is permissible in lieu of notarized letter. |
