Description and Basic Information ::

The hotel zone can be found along Paseo Kukulkan, a stretch of road that divides Laguna de Nichupte and the Caribbean. All along this highway hotels and white sandy beaches can be found in droves. Many of these beaches are heavily flooded with resort guests, so privacy is at a premium.
The northern most beaches on the highway are Playa Linda and Playa Langosta. As you head south you’ll pass Playa Tortugas (located at Km 7), which is considered to be one of the two most popular beaches in Cancun. To the south at Km 10 is Playa Chac Mool, the second most popular beach - and the crowds are here to prove it.
If you’re looking for privacy, Playa Marlin and Playa Ballena (Km 15 and Km 16) are your best bets. They are usually devoid of tourists and those who do stop, usually don’t stay for long.
To the south is Playa del Ines, another heavily traveled beach that’s known for picturesque views. Punta Nizuc is the southern most beach on Paseo Kukulkan and the closest beach to Club Med, making it a high traffic beach. |
